Agilent's gas clean filter system improves gas quality and maximizes productivity. Clean gas reduces the risk of column damage, loss of sensitivity, and equipment downtime. Contaminants present in the gas can have a significant impact on analysis. The presence of oxygen, hydrocarbons, and moisture in the gas can lead to decreased sensitivity and analytical accuracy in GC analysis, and can also cause damage to the column. Impurities activate the glass wool in the liner and accelerate the degradation of the septum.
